Ben Howarth - Loanway Finance

Meet Ben, Your First Home Buyer Broker

Buying your first home is one of the biggest financial decisions you'll make, and having the right support can make all the difference.

Loanway Finance is led by Ben Howarth, a qualified mortgage broker with experience in both mortgage broking and home lending at one of Australia's major banks. Ben holds a Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management and a Diploma of Commerce, giving him a strong understanding of how lenders assess applications and what it takes to achieve a successful outcome.

First home buyers are a particular passion for Ben. Throughout his career, he has helped many people purchase their first home — including clients who initially believed they weren't ready to buy. By taking the time to understand each person's circumstances, explaining the process clearly, and developing a practical plan where needed, Ben helps clients move forward with confidence.

Rather than simply arranging a loan, Ben focuses on building long-term relationships. From your first conversation through to settlement and beyond, he'll remain your ongoing point of contact for future reviews, refinancing, loan increases, and support as your goals and circumstances evolve.

Your borrowing capacity depends on your circumstances, income, expenses, existing debts, and the lender’s assessment criteria. We can help you estimate this and understand your next steps.

Depending on your situation, you may be eligible for government grants or schemes which are designed to help you get into a home sooner. We can help you understand which schemes may apply and how it fits into your purchase plan.
